Support Local Farmers and the Renewable Energy Farm Tour, 1-4 p.m., June 17, 2017

Mark your calendar for the Woodland Ridge Renewable Energy Farm Tour, Saturday, June 17th! The event is all part of the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) 2017 Farm Tours.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Woodland Ridge Farm and Learning Center will host a tour and workshop on renewable energy opportunities and trends.

Stop by and see its unique hybrid, battery backup, microgrid solar, and off-grid systems. UpGrade Ohio will talk about renewable energy funding opportunities, which are available through the USDA REDA Program. The Athens Chapter of OEFFA will also hold a meeting at the farm beginning at 3 p.m.

Part of Woodland Ridge Farm Days, the farm is also offering a Swine/Bovine Farm to Table Partners weekend workshop with R&L Valley Ranch Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18. Can’t spend the weekend? Register to stay on for a Saturday evening workshop from 4-9 p.m. culminating in a complimentary pig/ox roast local meal.
